Safety Recognition
& Awards

Berkeley Lab has several ways for recognizing staff members for their contributions to making the Lab a safer place to work.  These programs include:

• Hero Cards: This program is to recognize staff members as everyday heroes.  There are no specific eligibility requirements to award these.

• Safety SPOT Award: Staff can nominate others for safety contributions that are above and beyond what is expected of their job description.

• Director's Award for Exceptional Achievement - Safety: Staff can nominate other eligible colleagues for exceptional accomplishments or leadership in promoting a safety culture at Berkeley Lab.
